Description
As Lead Project Procurement, Supply Chain & Contracting Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of procurement, supply chain, and contracting activities for complex power plant projects within the PPE division. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. This role requires deep expertise in project procurement, supply chain management, and contracting for EPC projects

Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies for power plant projects, leading and coordinating all related activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage supplier selection, qualification, negotiation, and performance monitoring, ensuring timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services in line with project schedules and budgets
- Negotiate contracts, manage contractual risks, claims, and compliance, and optimize supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory management
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, construction, and finance teams to ensure alignment and support project execution, commissioning, and handover activities
- Prepare and present procurement reports, KPIs, and dashboards; mentor junior procurement and supply chain staff; interface with customers, contractors, and suppliers
- Drive continuous improvement, cost optimization, and value engineering in procurement and supply chain
Your Profile:
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (BSc, MSc, Dipl.-Ing., or equivalent)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in project procurement, supply chain, and contracting for EPC projects, preferably in power plant or industrial construction
- Proven expertise in supplier management, contract negotiation, supply chain optimization, and logistics
- Experience with procurement and supply chain tools (SAP, Oracle, MS Office); strong knowledge of contractual law, claims management, and compliance
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Fluent in German and English (business level)
- Project management or supply chain certification (PMP, IPMA, CIPS, APICS) is an advantage
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; high attention to detail and quality
